Derk Loorbach is director of DRIFT and Professor of Socio-economic Transitions at the Faculty of Social Science, both at Erasmus University Rotterdam.
Derk is one of the founders of the transition management approach as new form of governance for sustainable development. He has over one hundred publications in this area and has been involved as an action researcher in numerous transition processes with government, business, civil society and science. He is a frequently invited keynote speaker in and outside Europe.

Ivan is the founder and chief executive officer at Gybe, a start-up focused on changing how water quality and pollution challenges are tracked, understood and solved. Before Gybe, Ivan worked with microelectronics manufacturers like HP, Intel, AMD, Samsung and others to enable higher performance computing and sensing. Ivan’s entrepreneurial journey was inspired by an extended sabbatical, sailing close to 10,000 miles on the Atlantic Ocean with his spouse and two young kids. Flavio is a Naval Architect and Marine Engineer from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) working on the Ocean Business for more than 30 years with extensive experience on the shipbuilding, fisheries, shipping, oil spill preparedness and response, environmental services, offshore supply vessel and oceanographic survey sectors. Flavio is the founder and President of OceanPact, a Brazilian maritime services company, and a board member of Witt O’Brien’s do Brasil. Flavio was born in 1964 in Rio de Janeiro, where he lives with his wife, two sons and one daughter, has a post graduate degree in Petroleum Business by COPPE/UFRJ and speaks English, French, Spanish and Portuguese. Flavio is also an enthusiastic amateur sailor and diver.
